Rob Jordan

I am the General Manager of Whisperin' 95.1 FM and WJJC Radio and a Jackson County native. I have served as a member of the Jackson County Water and Sewer Authority Board of Directors. I have many years of radio experience both on and off the air and enjoy my time in the broadcast chair. I am married to Cande and we have one son, Josh, who also has an interest in the music field. I was a member of the City Lights committee and the Athletic Booster Club and am active in the community. I have many friendships in the area, which I hold dear. Since 2006, I have had the honor to be the Voice of Commerce Tiger High School broadcasts.

Craig Fischer

I joined WJJC in July of 2005. I am here for the second time in my life. I worked here as a DJ while at Commerce High School from 1978-1979. I work as advertising sales manager. I can be heard on many sports broadcasts for various high schools in our community. I have had the pleasure to serve on various civic organizations in our community. I come to WJJC after a 20 year career in high tech computer and imaging sales. I have worked with McDonnell Douglas, Kodak, Roper Industries, as well as starting the sales division at two different start-up companies. I have a deep love for this community and the radio station, so this business relationship was easy. I have been married to my wife Andrea since 1988. My parents have lived in Commerce since 1973. I have been honored to call Commerce home again since 1998. I am very excited when I think of where Whisperin' 95.1 FM will take me!

                                                                               Where We Came From.........

The years have now become a part of eight separate decades, since two forward thinking local groups of businessmen envisioned a hometown radio facility. Neither group knew the other's plans and upon learning this fact the chivalrous thing to do was for one to step aside and allow the station application to go to Washington unimpeded. The local newspaper owner, Albert Hardy, backed the financial aspects of the venture. Through family connections he was led to a young south Georgia broadcaster, Grady Cooper, who was willing to relocate his wife and children to Commerce. The studios and transmitter were located on the Old Carnesville Road north of Commerce. Grady Cooper was the first voice heard on WJJC Radio.

The station personnel stood anxiously by for word from Washington and the F.C.C for approval to begin broadcasting. A phone call from the local Western Union office in Commerce stated the good news. A rush was made to retrieve the yellow piece of paper to post on the wall. That day was June 27, 1957 around 10 A.M. The first disc jockey was Bill Anderson, a journalism student from the University of Georgia doing intern work for his degree. The studios of WJJC were moved to downtown Commerce on Little Street in 1966. The most recent move was in May of 2005 to 1801 North Elm Street in the former offices of a doctor and insurance agency. We look forward to a great future at  WHISPERIN' 95.1 FM/ WJJC Radio.
